Delayed between flights at Heathrow 5, I followed the signs to the Multifaith

Room and found a few Muslim airport staff saying their prayers.  I said my own Iona Community prayers alongside, which start

The world belongs to God – the earth and all its people.

How good and how lovely it is – to live together in unity.

Love and faith come together – justice and peace join hands . .

These multifaith rooms are almost always pokey, featureless places without windows, but at least they exist.  One day I’m sure we’ll manage something a bit more adventurous and inviting – even beautiful.  An anteroom would be great, where people could chat.
